I am the enemy

I am the enemy. I say this because I believe in the Supreme Law of the Land of the United  States, the Constitution. I believe I have the right to say what I want about who I want, when I want. I believe that I have a divine right to protect myself, my family, and my property from all who would endanger it. This includes agents of a rouge government, common criminals, religious fanatics of any flavor, or foreign soldiers acting on the behalf of said rouge government.

I am the enemy. I am a veteran of military service, more than 20 years to be precise. My government views me as a threat. The ruling powers attempt to silence me, and my brothers and sisters, through the use of medications dolled out like candy on Halloween at the VA. Then, as often as possible, they attempt to strip us of our right to defend ourselves by claiming us incompetent due to the plethora of pills they try to shove down our throats.

I am the enemy. I read, watch, and listen to events going on in our nation and world today. I am informed.

I am the enemy. I believe in well defined and secure borders. I believe that those who enter this nation illegally are criminals and do not have the same rights as citizens and those who endure the process of obtaining authorization to be here.

I am the enemy. I believe that I am entitled to keep everything that I earn and should not be forced to share it with those who will not do the same for themselves.

I am the enemy. I believe in extremely limited government and individual liberty. It is my right to determine what is good or bad for me, not yours.

I am the enemy because I will not fall into lockstep with the rest of the herd.

I am the enemy of all who would seek to oppress me.......

  I AM THE ENEMY.

It just doesn't matter anymore

Given the state of affairs in Washington these days, I think it is safe to say that it doesn't matter how much the Oval Office abuses its power or how many laws it bends, breaks, or outright ignores. The Republican majority in Congress is about as beneficial to this nation as the would-be dictator. Just this week, a clean DHS funding bill passed with very little opposition from the majority, proving that there is no difference between the parties but a name.  Back in November, The people spoke, and they spoke loudly. We accepted that neither party was the perfect fit but, we knew the the conservatives were the lesser of the two evils. We counted on them to reign in the insanity of the president. So far, they have talked a big game but in the end, have acquiesced every time. The result is, the US will soon be over-run by a flood of illegal immigrants from nations across the globe. Our boarders are grossly unprotected, CBT and ICE have been placed on a basic stand down by the DOJ, and any that refuse face immediate repercussions. Meanwhile, under pressure from the White House, the BATFE is moving forward with a ban on M855 "green tip" ammunition by classifying it as armor piercing. Some members of Congress have responded to this proposal, but  I fear it will not be enough. As demonstrated the Speaker of the House this week, he will only bend to the will of the Left when the issue comes to a vote.
We have come to the point in our history where one of two things is going to happen, as I see it.
Option 1: The powers that be in Washington will continue on the same path, whittling away the rights of the people bit by bit while we sit back and watch without doing much more that complaining on social media. Until the day comes in the near future that the expression of opinions and criticism of government becomes a criminal act.
Option 2: Enough people are going to wake up, stand up, and take this Republic back from the edge of destruction by rouge politicians, banksters, corporations, and foreign governments. This option will NOT be a peaceful revolution as many, myself included, would like it to be. It will be long, and bloody.
The time for diplomatic resolution is nearing its end. If we don't make Washington listen now, the world will soon witness a complete destruction of everything that we once stood for. Freedom, prosperity, and opportunity will be little more than obscure passages in long outlawed texts.

Just some food for thought.

It's long and maybe even a bit fragmented but bare with me...
Never before in the history of the United States has there been such division. Even during the Civil War there were clearly drawn lines and both sides had a clear agenda. Now though, we are divided by political affiliation, race, religion (or lack thereof), and even lifestyle choices ranging from urbanites vs. country folk to gays vs. straights (and the whole spectrum in between).
Where has this taken us as a nation? What is the end state? Each group and individual has their own idea of what the perfect society is and, as has been demonstrated very clearly over the past decade, those subjective views do not blend well with other groups' goals and agendas. So, what is the result of all of this? Due to the seemingly forced alignment to either extreme right or left of the ideological and political spectrum based on one's beliefs and goals, our nation has devolved from the republic it once was, where rights were guaranteed and and enforced by rule of law, into now broken and dysfunctional mass of clans intent on forcing their values on the others by way of name calling, slandering, and accusations of being "unAmerican" (Yes, I'm guilty of this just as much as the rest of you are. But, if I can own up to it, so can you.)
Meanwhile,in the chambers of both state and federal government, our elected officials are doing nothing to bridge the gap between our conflicting ideologies. Rather, they are all working hard to increase and enhance this ever increasing division. Why would they do this? The answer is quite simple. It's a slight-of-hand trick, a ruse. By keeping all of us fighting among ourselves, they are free to pass legislation and enact law that will further increase their power base while slowly and steadily whittling our freedoms down to a nub. Given our general attitude of suspicion and disbelief on a national level, it's natural to question how these people, our employees, could possibly achieve such a lofty goal. And not being the type of guy to leave you hanging, I'll provide a perfect example from my own state legislature.
On January 6th of this year, the first day of the legislative season, HB 1009 was introduced. This bill, if passed, will repeal the 15 round magazine limit in the state of Colorado. Sounds pretty good right? Attached to this Bill however, is another piece of legislation that will outlaw abortion in the state. Attaching this extra piece guarantees that the Bill will not make it into law, but, it also gives the conservatives a way to assign blame on the failure of the Bill to the liberals, including the ones who would have voted to repeal the magazine limit. Hence, furthering the divide and forcing the populace to choose a side. And despite the side chosen, the outcome is the same. We lose, government control expands, and another decision is made for us by people who have perverted, corrupted, and advanced the demise of our once great republic by another step.
Agree with me or not, that is your choice, but I'll leave you with a few words that are as true today as they were the day they were written:
"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security."

Power, Corruption, and Entitlement

So I'll open this blog with my first real post to give you all a view into my every day mind and attitude.

I like to think that, while I'm quickly becoming a Right leaning anarchist, that I have my finger on the political pulse of this nation. And I can tell you this much, I'm disappointed and saddened by the state of affairs in Washington. No matter the direction you lean, one can't deny that our representatives in our nation's capital have lost sight of what their purpose is. This statement rings true for both the legislative and executive branches of the federal government. I won't even touch on the SCOTUS here as it seems that those retards need help wiping their asses every morning let alone properly interpreting the Constitution, but I digress.
What the problem is, from my point of view, is that these clowns in DC have forgotten that their sole purpose in these positions, that we pay them for, is to represent the will and desires of the people from their districts, and not those of their chosen party or what ever lobby is lining their pockets. It seems to me that as soon as these people get elected to office, they have an almost instant brain fart and forget this most simple of concepts.
Lets put it into perspective here. In the last six years, we have, as a nation, been through the greatest economic recession since the 1930's (hold your comments I'm getting there), the first ever reduction in our credit rating from AAA to AA, a Congress that is so wrapped up in partisan politics that they can't agree on anything, and a shut down of the federal government last fall that affected thousands of families across the country. Notice I didn't include the legislators in this. That's because, in the 1980's, they very conveniently exempted themselves from a suspension of pay and benefits in the event of this very scenario. I can say personally, that while these assholes were arguing about a budget I lost $5000.00 in pay between August and November of last year.
On top of domestic woes, our dysfunctional government has made us the laughing stock of the global community by shunning our allies, bending over backwards to the UN, allowing uncountable numbers of illegal aliens to cross our southern border, watching our embassies get over ran by terrorists, and turning over a critically unstable region to a government that is just as inept as our own. Anyone miss Saddam yet?
Just a side note here;
Saddam Hussein attended the US Army War College at Leavenworth KS in the early 1980's and Bin Laden was on the CIA payroll at about the same time until he got left out to dry in the middle of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.
The point I'm making here is that this nation is in serious trouble and it isn't one man or one party that is at fault. The system has become corrupted and, much like a trashed hard drive, is going to have to be wiped clean and reloaded before we can get back to where we need to be. And of course, I have a few ideas that can get us there.
  1. Retroactively impose term limits on both Congress and the SCOTUS. This will minimize the amount of time these people have to further damage our nation in the name of personal gain.
  2. Limit Congressional pay to the median income of the State that they represent and disallow any incentive pay for serving on committees. Any consulting fees, speaking fees, or lobby monies need to also be disallowed. Let them live like their constituents for a while and they just might start listening.
  3. Immediately and indefinitely suspend all foreign aid until such a time as we have paid down our debts to a zero balance. This provision will also include a ban on borrowing. Washington needs to learn to live on a budget just like the rest of us.
  4. Eliminate both the IRS and the Federal Reserve and institute a 15% flat tax across the board for both individuals and businesses. This way, everyone pays an equal share based on income generation.
  5. CLOSE the borders! Anyone who wants to come to this country can stand in line and apply, Those who violate this can go to a hard labor camp for a few years prior to being shipped back to wherever they came from.
Call me extreme if you want, but we are in a dire situation here people. This kind of garbage cannot go on any longer if we want to preserve the nation that we all grew up in.
